Kirill's areas of specialization are information and digital, corporate and commercial law with a particular focus on TMT and financial sectors.
Major part of his work is focused on legal support of the FinTech projects and clients facing different issues of regulation of digital economy, digitalization, cross-border payments, blockchain, cryptocurrency, digital assets, software, data management, information processing, intellectual property, and antitrust legislation. Kirill is experienced in conducting comprehensive researches in the sphere of intellectual property, commercial activities and technology-related transactions.
He actively advises clients on the issues of setting up, registration and doing business in Kazakhstan in the AIFC jurisdiction and regularly participates in the support of M&A transactions and due diligence of major companies from different sectors of economy.
Kirill joined AEQUITAS in 2021. His clients are leading international companies, payment systems and banks, such as Meta, Chevron, BrokerCreditService, KaR-Tel, Turkish Aerospace, Bitfury, Experian, Coinhub, Visa, EDB, Mitsubishi Motors, QIWI, KONE and other.
As a part of AEQUITAS membership in the European Business Association of Kazakhstan (Eurobak), Kirill was elected as a member of the executive team of the Digital Committee for 2023 and will act as a co-chairman to deal with the issues of development of innovations based on technologies, cybersecurity, electronic commerce, cloud technologies and many other issues discussed by the Digital Committee.

Digital Law
- Regular advice on the issues of regulation of electronic document flow, creation and registration of the Internet resources in Kazakhstan.
- Drafting of legal opinions on the issues of regulation of digital assets in Kazakhstan.
- Advice to a transnational holding company regarding the issuance of NFT products and their regulation in Kazakhstan.
- Advice regarding registration of a cryptocurrency exchange in the AIFC.

Corporate Law
- Registration of a joint stock company (JSC), including drafting of foundation documents, prospectus of share issue, preliminary payment for shares and obtainment of a license for the JSC to carry out activities on the securities market.
- Registration of financial companies with the AIFC and acquisition of membership of the Astana International Exchange (AIX) for the AIFC participants.
- Participation in the projects involving registration, reorganization and liquidation of legal entities,
de-registration of branches and representative offices of foreign companies. - Advice to international banks on corporate issues and extension of credit facilities.
M&A
- Participation in structuring and support of projects involving merger, acquisition, purchase/sale of major assets and setting up of joint ventures under the Kazakhstan law, including drafting and coordination of legal documents pertaining to the transactions, such as share/participatory interest sale and purchase agreements, corporate agreements, articles of association, etc.
- Due diligence of local companies from different sectors of economy.
- Obtainment of the antitrust agency’s consent to effect transactions (consent to economic concentration).

- Participated in the preparation legal opinions on the issues of information and industrial safety,
re-issuance of permitting documents, transfer price formation and personal data. - Advice to a foreign technological center on the issues of supply of military unmanned aerial vehicles to the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
