Alexandr Chumachenko contributed to Women, Business and the Law 2024 report
The World Bank presented the Women, Business and the Law report. This report offers a comprehensive picture of the obstacles that women face in entering the global workforce and contributing to greater prosperity — for themselves, their families, and their communities. It expands the scope of its analysis, adding two indicators that can be critical in opening up or restricting women’s options: safety from violence and access to childcare services in 190 economies.
Based on this research, Kazakhstan scores 75.6 out of 100. For comparison, last year this index was, 69.4 out of 100, which means strong improvement of the situation in all indicators.
The Kazakhstan part of the analysis was prepared in collaboration with lawyers from leading law firms and legal centers, including AEQUITAS Senior Associate, Alexandr Chumachenko.
