AEQUITAS Associate Kristina Mychka attended the TAA Arbitration Retreat
On 15-16 September 2024, Bishkek hosted the Arbitration Retreat organized by the Turkic Arbitration Association and included two days of intensive educational program.
The educational program covered practical aspects of arbitration proceedings and key issues faced by lawyers, attorneys, and arbitrators, including:
- Issues of the competence of the arbitral tribunal and the role of national courts
- Problematic and complex arbitration agreements
- Ethics and conflict of interest
- Application of foreign law and soft law instruments in international arbitration
- Problematic issues of evidence and proving
- Challenges in the absence of the respondent and other complex situations related to the parties
AEQUITAS Associate Kristina Mychka partook in this event and shared her impressions: “Participating in the arbitration training organized by the Turkic Arbitration Association (TAA) was not only a pleasant but also an extremely valuable experience for me.
This training was specifically designed to enhance the qualifications of professionals in the field of arbitration and covered both theoretical and practical aspects of arbitration procedures.
Special attention was given to important topics such as drafting arbitration clauses, along with various other key issues that play a significant role in the successful conduct of arbitration proceedings.
The knowledge and skills acquired during this training will undoubtedly have a positive impact on my professional work and help improve the quality of my performance in the field of arbitration.
