24 September 2024 marked a business meeting dedicated to the issues of application of the laws of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), practical advice and recommendations to business. The meeting was organized and held by AEQUITAS team together with the representatives of the AIFC and the British Kazakh Society (BKS).

During the presentations, the speakers highlighted different topics embracing the nuances of registration of companies in the AIFC, differences in the statuses of a Director and a CEO, specifics of M&A transactions in the AIFC, issues of personal data and intellectual property protection, specifics of activities of venture studios, regulation of digital assets, and sanctions compliance.

AEQUITAS Partner and Head of AEQUITAS Branch in the AIFC Yekaterina Khamidullina shared her impressions of the event:
