Ardak Idayatova spoke at the Astana Legal Forum 2022
On 13-14 May 2022, AEQUITAS Partners Yelena Manayenko and Ardak Idayatova and Senior Associate Tair Kulteleev attended the annual Astana Legal Forum 2022 (ALF 2022).
An interesting and vigorous discussion took place during the session dedicated to the dispute resolution issues. Tolkyn Shamshildin, Judge of Saryarkinskiy District Court of Nur-Sultan, Ardak Idayatova and renowned Kazakhstan litigators discussed the recent amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan pertaining to the application of a pretrial protocol, introduction of extraterritorial jurisdiction, and some other topical issues relating to security measures, online sessions, etc.
At the session dedicated to the new regime of regulating the legal profession in the AIFC, the AIFC representatives Nurzhan Kosbayev and Beibut Dosmurzinov presented the details of the new rules for the legal counsel registration with the AIFC and spoke about the existing education and professional development programs for lawyers offered by the AIFC Academy of Law. As a practitioner, Ardak Idayatova shared her view on the new rules.
