Yekaterina Khamidullina took part in the Kazakh Law Day in London

AEQUITAS Partner and Head of AEQUITAS AIFC Branch, Yekaterina Khamidullina participated as a speaker in the Kazakh Law Day hosted in London on 22nd January 2025.

The Kazakh Law Day is one of important events co-organised by the British-Kazakh Law Association, The British Kazakh Society and Withersworldwide, where the experts from the UK and Kazakhstan explored topics of current interests in Kazakhstan legal environment, including international projects and transactions, cross-border disputes involving Kazakh parties, and changes related to the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) laws.

In her speech Yekaterina provided a presentation on a topic related to the re-domiciliation of a company to the AIFC. She considered the advantages, procedure, and conditions for company re-domiciliation, criteria that may be essential for the application approval by the AIFC bodies and discussed the UK perspective on the introduction of a re-domiciliation regime.

These events were attended by over 200 lawyers and representatives of companies from the UK, Kazakhstan and other countries of Europe and Asia. Such events promote networking, growth of interest in the Kazakhstan market, the AIFC, exchange of knowledge and the latest changes in legislation." – Yekaterina shared.
