AEQUITAS Announces Strengthening of Its Partner Team
AEQUITAS is happy to announce that Larissa Yemelyanova, Tair Kulteleev and Alexandr Chumachenko joined the team of the firm partners on 1 January 2025. In the traditions of AEQUITAS, Larissa, Tair and Alexandr became the partners after undergoing different stages of professional growth and will head the firm's important practices according to their areas of expertise: labor; healthcare, medicine and pharmaceuticals; registration and corporate services.

Larissa has experience of more than 20-year professional activities and joined AEQUITAS in 2008. She regularly proves her high qualification in most complicated projects requiring complex analysis and legal opinions. Over the years of her work for the firm, Larissa has successfully worked in several active practice areas, including labor and corporate law, compliance and other business legal support directions. She is especially strong in the field of healthcare, medicine and pharmaceuticals. Larissa is a member of the Pharmaceuticals and Medicine Committee of the Kazakhstan Bar Association. She regularly speaks at international conferences, including the Eurasian Pharmaceutical Forum and other field-specific events, addressing cutting edge issues of the legal practice areas. Recommendations on legislation and law-application practice improvement are well reflected in her numerous publications.

Alexandr joined AEQUITAS team in 2011. His areas of specialization are labor law and personal data protection. He is experienced in advising on intricate issues not expressly regulated by legislation, drafting of personnel documents of various difficulty levels, labor audit, and legal review of clients' documents on personal data. Alexandr is also highly experienced in the issues of circulation, safety, labeling, and advertising of different categories of goods. He authored a number of publications, including as part of exclusive cooperation with Ius Laboris, international alliance of the leading law firms in the field of labor and employment.

Tair has been with AEQUITAS for more than 17 years, participating in projects in the field of corporate and antitrust law. Since 2012, he has been heading the registration practice. Tair regularly advises clients on the issues of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) and was granted the status of a Legal Adviser under the AIFC laws in 2022. In 2024, he was appointed as an Insolvency Practitioner and Official Liquidator accredited by the AIFC. He actively participates in conferences and round tables within his areas of practice, holds webinars for clients on the issues of corporate laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the AIFC, and authored many articles for local and international publications. Tair received letters of appreciation from many companies and was awarded as a Lawyer of the Year by Asia Law in 2024. He also provides pro bono advice to animal welfare funds and volunteers. Tair is a member of the Animal Law Committee of the Kazakhstan Bar Association.
